Romantasy and my dream ennemies to lovers.

As a reader I mostly read fantasy, and my favorite trope is ennemies to lovers. When the romantasy genre became popular i thaught this would be an opportunity to find more of this trope in books since it has become a very popular trope. Unfortunatly i often find myself being disapointed.
Even if my favorite trope is a romance one I'm still very plot driven and a lot of the time in romantasy the plot isn't as developped as it could be or is too slow for my liking, because the main focus is the romance. Not that romantasy isn't good, I still read some sometimes.

In a lot of the ennemies to lovers romantasy I've read the "enemies" part of it was more like "oh i hate him but he looks so good" you know, "oh I hate him but my body wants him" kinda vibe. No shade to smut, i do read some of that too sometimes. I'm just desperately looking for an ennemies to lovers that explore more of the emotions and duality in the characters feelings?
I can't help but think that it would be so great to have a story about two people with the sames hopes and dreams but two very different ways to achieve them. They would bound over those dreams but their different life experiences and believes would end up leading them into becoming ennemies, for one's dream cannot become a reality as long as the other one is fighting for his own.

I imagine them always sparing eachother at the last minute, dreading the next time. The sad reality being that they are the only ones to truly understand eachother.This relationship would force them to fight against themselves, their feelings, and question their goals and the things they are willing to sacrifice for it.

Is the price for succes really worth it? Does it really have to be like this?

Sometimes i wander if this is really an ennemies to lovers that I'm looking for, or just a tragedy.

I don't know why but a always get emotional when i think about such a story, I feel like to these kind of characters like that love and hope are both curses and blessings.
